Classic Poems: an introduction to poetry in English

A ten-week guide to poetry in English, from Shakespeare to Carol Ann Duffy. The class explores how poetry has changed over the years, and how it remains eternally the same.  No knowledge of poetry is required, although you are welcome to nominate your favourites for discussion.

Poetic Themes: an introduction to poetry in English

 This ten-week course explores the major themes of poetry: love, nature, war, humour and mortality. No previous knowledge of poetry is required, although you’re welcome to nominate your favourites for class discussion.

Day Course: the Poetry of Carol Ann Duffy

Carol Ann Duffy - Bee Carol 2A short, informal course introducing students to the poetry of Carol Ann Duffy. We’ll look at extracts from Duffy’s early, controversial collections, as well as her groundbreaking work as Poet Laureate. No previous experience of poetry is required.
